Best is yet to Come! - 2012 Year-End Reflection Series [Video]

“This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NIV

Good morning family,

Hope this finds everyone well and blessed as we close out 2012!  The above was the text that God had led us to as we started out 2012, and we can say that He has done a new thing-many new things-this year that we have witnessed with our very eyes!  He is amazing....But He is not done! As we turn the page on 2012 let us look forward with expectancy to what is ahead in 2013.  One of the ways we have seen God move this year is through healing and prayer.  We are asking for prayer for Mom Sparks who is currently hospitalized and undergoing chemotherapy.  We are praying for healing, for her strength  to be renewed, and for her mind to be filled with the peace of God.  Please take time today to stand in the gap for our sister and the Sparks family.  Thank you to all those who sent in year end devotionals, it is so encouraging to see how God has been faithful to you this past year.  May we continue in giving thanks as we enter a brand new season, remembering and believing that with God, the best is always ahead of us!

To God be the glory!

Michael

Psalm 124

 1-5 If God hadn’t been for us
    —all together now, Israel, sing out!—
If God hadn’t been for us
    when everyone went against us,
We would have been swallowed alive
    by their violent anger,
Swept away by the flood of rage,
    drowned in the torrent;
We would have lost our lives
    in the wild, raging water.
Oh, blessed be God!
    He didn’t go off and leave us.
He didn’t abandon us defenseless,
    helpless as a rabbit in a pack of snarling dogs.
We’ve flown free from their fangs,
    free of their traps, free as a bird.
Their grip is broken;
    we’re free as a bird in flight.
God’s strong name is our help,
    the same God who made heaven and earth.
